Job Description

As our Data Product Owner, you will own the full lifecycle of one or several data products, from framing the business problem to measuring adoption and iterating on real usage. Reporting to the Data Product Manager, you are the critical bridge between business strategy and the technical execution of the Data & Analytics team.

Frame the Business Challenge
Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Mapping the "AS-IS" of business teams, current analytic solutions, data rituals and maturity
  • Framing "TO-BE" business problems, key decisions and use cases
  • Identifying stakeholders and Data Champions, and defining the right product solution type (Self-Service, Enterprise BI, AI)

Assess the Data in Depth

  • Assessing granular data needs: sources, granularity, frequency, dimensions of analysis and KPI calculation logic
  • Identifying access, visibility and privacy rules for sensitive data
  • Performing preliminary QA on data quality and availability

Model and Prototype the Solution

  • Understanding existing semantic models and their use cases
  • Proposing conceptual and logical/physical data modeling ahead of engineering implementation
  • Defining user journeys and building mock-ups validated directly with business stakeholders

Lead the Backlog and Delivery

  • Consolidating needs into a manageable backlog, confirming Epics and writing detailed User Stories
  • Prioritizing delivery based on business value, aligned with PI Planning
  • Acting as functional squad leader: daily operational leadership of the technical delivery squad and Agile rituals

Deliver, Validate and Enable Adoption

  • Validating solutions internally and orchestrating formal business UAT sessions
  • Communicating releases to the business audience
  • Training users through demos, showcases and comprehensive documentation

Measure Impact and Keep Improving

  • Defining and tracking adoption metrics to assess real usage
  • Measuring business impact against the initial "TO-BE" framing
  • Building systematic feedback loops and feeding the backlog iteratively

Qualifications

You are a strong match for this role if you bring:

  • 4-6 years of experience as Data Product Owner, Data Product Manager, or in a similar product-facing data role
  • A proven track record owning data products end to end, from business discovery through UAT and post-release adoption
  • Experience running discovery with business teams and translating ambiguous needs into Epics and User Stories
  • Experience working within an Agile / PI Planning delivery model
  • Strong product & Agile mastery: backlog prioritization, PI Planning, User Story mapping
  • Advanced data architecture skills: ability to propose physical data models (e.g. Snowflake table structures)
  • Strong SQL and BI proficiency, with hands-on experience building mock-ups in Power BI or Tableau
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools in a business context (Copilot, Claude or similar)
