We file this job under Data Scientist, by the work the posting describes.
Data scientists use statistics and models to answer harder questions, such as whether a change worked, what demand will look like next quarter, or which customers are likely to leave.
Postings usually ask for Python or R, SQL, statistics, experiment design and common machine learning methods.
Unlike an ML engineer, a data scientist's main output is often an analysis or a first model, not software running inside a product.

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to support modeling and analytics for retail measurement data within the Korean FMCG market.
In this role, you will work as part of a collaborative team to solve client-driven business challenges. Rather than working independently, you will be assigned to projects by a team manager, partnering with cross-functional team members to define methodologies, align on analytical approaches, and shape client communication strategies.
A key responsibility of this role is to develop and validate Universe (population) definitions and projection methodologies, ensuring that panel data is accurately expanded to reflect the overall market.
Beyond analysis, you will play a critical role in translating data outputs into clear, compelling business narratives, explaining assumptions, methodologies, and reasoning directly to clients.
