Who We Are

Arcadia is the AI-powered energy intelligence platform for businesses. We replace fragmented tools and manual workflows with one platform to pay utility bills, buy energy, and advance sustainability — across every location, at enterprise scale.

Trusted by Fortune 2000 companies, Arcadia combines unified data, AI-powered analytics, and expert advisory to help enterprise teams save money, mitigate risk, and cut carbon.

We deliver this through three comprehensive solutions:

  • Utility Bill Management: Automating the entire utility bill lifecycle — from data capture and validation to payment processing and auditing.
  • Energy Procurement Advisory: Bringing together comprehensive data, AI-powered analytics, market expertise, and a strong partner network to make sophisticated procurement options accessible to all. .
  • Sustainability Reporting — Verified emissions data with seamless integration into leading sustainability platforms.

Tackling the world's most complex energy challenges requires diverse thinking. We're building teams of people from different backgrounds, industries, and disciplines — united by a belief that energy management should be simple, intelligent, and a genuine driver of business value.

What we’re looking for:

We’re seeking a strategic, technically fluent Data Product Manager to join the Utility Data Platform team. This person will own the requirements and roadmap for Arcadia’s unified data model: the extensible data architecture that powers Expense Management, Energy Intelligence, Bill Acquisition, and every other data product built on the Arcadia platform. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable in a data model diagram, a stakeholder alignment meeting, and a roadmap review, and can turn many teams’ competing data needs into one coherent, extensible model that serves the needs of itsdata consumers.

Arcadia is open to fully remote candidates and employees have access to co-working spaces.

What you'll do:

•     Own and drive requirements for Arcadia’s unified data model, partnering with engineering to design an architecture that is extensible across current and future use cases.

•     Partner with leaders across the organization to mature our data strategy and solidify Arcadia’s position as the data-driven thought leader in the utility space.

•     Partner with product and engineering leads across Expense Management, Energy Intelligence, Bill Acquisition, and other data product teams to gather requirements, identify shared entities, and resolve competing schema needs.

•     Translate ambiguous organizational needs into actionable engineering requirements throughout the entire data lifecycle, from new source ingestion through consumer BI, Data-as-a-Service, and product API use cases.

•     Define and prioritize the roadmap for unified data model capabilities, balancing near-term feature requests against long-term extensibility and governance while evaluating the business value of the desired features.

•     Define the product requirements that specs and data contracts that satisfy the business use cases, partnering with data engineering on authoring where needed.

•     Drive adoption of data governance standards (naming, ownership, quality, docs) with data engineering.

•     Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and platform engineering to ensure the model scales across acquisition, extraction, storage, and delivery layers.

•     Track adoption of the unified model across downstream products, identify migration risks, and drive resolution of data quality and parity gaps.

•     Present data model design and roadmap decisions to engineering and leadership stakeholders.

What will help you succeed:

Must-haves:

•     Modern Data Stack: Deep understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data modeling principles, ensuring data products directly secure objectives

•     Data Product Leaderhship: Demonstrated track record for data product specifically.

•     SQL & Data Proficiency: Hands-on ability to write SQL queries to validate data structures, analyze usage, and troubleshoot platform health.

•     Architecture Awareness: Knowledge of distributed processing, data streaming, metadata management, and API design for developer tools. Experience with both analytical (OLAP) and transactional (OLTP) frameworks and how to balance their competing demands.

•     Data Governance & Security: Familiarity with access controls, PII masking, data lineage, and compliance frameworks (such as GDPR and CCPA).

•     5+ years of product management experience, with meaningful time spent on data platforms, data infrastructure, or data model and schema design.

•     Proven experience writing detailed technical requirements and specs for data models, schemas, or APIs consumed by multiple downstream teams.

•     Experience partnering directly with data engineers and architects on entity design, normalization, governance, and extensibility tradeoffs.

•     A track record of managing competing stakeholder requirements across multiple product lines and driving them to a unified solution.

•     Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical tradeoffs for both engineering and business audiences.

•     Experience with agile delivery, including backlog management, sprint planning, and road-mapping.

Nice-to-haves:

•     Experience in energy, utilities, or fintech and expense-management software.

•     Familiarity with utility billing, tariff, or usage data structures.

•     Experience with data governance frameworks, master data management, or data cataloging tools.

•     Exposure to AI or ML-driven data extraction or classification pipelines.

•     Experience at a company going through platform consolidation or M&A-driven system integration. Extra points if you’ve learned what extensible data architecture looks like in the wild.
