Job Description:

Data Modeling

• Develop and maintain LookML models.

• Create dimensions, measures, views, and explores.

• Define relationships between database tables.

• Implement business logic in LookML.

Dashboard Development

• Create interactive dashboards.

• Develop reports and visualizations.

• Configure filters, parameters, and drill-downs.

• Build dashboards based on business requirements.

. Data Analysis

• Analyze business data using Looker.

• Write and optimize SQL queries.

• Identify trends, patterns, and business insights.

• Validate reports against source data.

4. Database Connectivity

• Connect Looker with databases such as:

  • Google BigQuery

  • Snowflake

  • Amazon Redshift

  • PostgreSQL

  • MySQL

• Manage database connections.

• Troubleshoot connectivity issues.

. Performance Optimization

• Optimize LookML code.

• Improve SQL query performance.

• Reduce dashboard loading time.

• Use caching and aggregate awareness where appropriate.

. Security and Access Management

• Create user roles and permissions.

• Implement row-level data security.

• Manage access to dashboards and reports.

• Maintain data governance standards.

Testing and Validation

• Validate dashboard results.

• Perform data reconciliation.

• Test LookML changes.

• Identify and fix data discrepancies.

 Deployment and Maintenance

• Use Git for LookML version control.

• Manage development and production environments.

• Deploy changes through Looker Development Mode.

• Maintain existing dashboards and reports.
