About the role

We file this job under Analyst, by the work the posting describes.

Analysts answer business questions with data. They pull numbers with SQL, build reports and dashboards, and explain what changed and why to the people making decisions.

Most postings ask for SQL, spreadsheets, a dashboard tool such as Tableau or Power BI, and clear writing.

Unlike a data scientist, an analyst mostly explains what happened rather than building models that predict what will.

  • Develop and maintain reporting on exception volumes, audit findings, root causes, aging, resolution timeliness, reconciliation performance, and data quality.
  • Translate analytical findings into clear recommendations and leadership-ready summaries outlining issues, risk exposure, root causes, and recommended actions.
  • Support the development and enhancement of KPIs, controls, procedures, workflows, reporting, automation, training materials, and audit-readiness standards.
  • Mentor and provide subject matter guidance to Business Analyst I and offshore team members on investigations, reconciliations, documentation standards, escalation quality, and analytical techniques.
