Enterprise Data Governance Solution Lead, Assistant Vice President
Who We Are Looking For
The Enterprise Data and AI Office is seeking an execution-oriented Enterprise Data Governance Solution Lead to help advance the firm’s enterprise Data Governance framework, standards, control capabilities, and technology-enabled solutions.
This role will focus on translating enterprise data governance policies, standards, regulatory expectations, and control requirements into scalable business processes, platform capabilities, and adoption practices across business and technology teams. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening enterprise capabilities for data governance platform capabilities, controls, measurement and reporting using the Collibra Platform and related technologies.
The ideal candidate combines Data Governance expertise, product management experience, and business analysis skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional delivery in a complex global enterprise environment.

This position is part of the Enterprise Data Governance team within the Chief Data and AI Office. This is a key role to help drive implementation of data governance policies, standards, control frameworks, and operating models that align with industry standards, regulatory expectations, and the firm’s risk management objectives. Success in this role will be measured through effective implementation of sustainable data governance standards and effective data governance controls to mitigate data risk.
What you will be responsible for
- Translate enterprise data governance policies, standards, controls, and regulatory requirements into detailed functional and technical solution requirements.
- Partner with Business Unit Data Governance teams and Technology stakeholders to define data governance workflows, operating procedures, controls, and reporting requirements.
- Develop solution designs that improve the effectiveness of data governance processes across the enterprise through automation.
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the enterprise Data Governance platform.
- Develop and maintain a data governance platform roadmap aligned to strategic objectives and regulatory commitments.
- Define and prioritize platform enhancements, user stories, epics, and feature requirements.
- Collaborate with technology delivery teams throughout design, development, testing, and deployment activities.
- Ensure requirements are clearly articulated and documented through business requirements, process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, and use cases.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, testing, and release planning.
- Conduct workshops, interviews, and working sessions to elicit business requirements from senior stakeholders across business, operations, risk, compliance, and technology functions.
- Present recommendations, solution options, and implementation strategies to management and governance forums.
- Build strong partnerships with Data Stewards, Data Owners, Technology Teams, and Business Leaders to drive adoption and organizational change.
- Assist in preparation of regulatory responses, remediation plans, governance evidence, and management reporting.
- Define governance metrics, KPIs, KRIs, adoption measures, and executive dashboards.
- Identify opportunities to automate governance processes and reduce manual effort.
- Research industry best practices and emerging trends to continuously improve governance capabilities and platform adoption.
- Develop training materials, communications, user guides, and adoption strategies.
- Conduct demonstrations, workshops, training sessions, and stakeholder outreach activities.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex requirements into clear deliverables.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across business and technology teams without direct authority.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments and using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms.
Education and preferred qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Business Analysis, Product Management, Risk Management, or related disciplines.
- Experience implementing enterprise data governance frameworks, data governance controls, or supporting technology solutions.
- Experience with Collibra or similar data governance, metadata management, data catalog, or related platforms preferred.
- Experience supporting BCBS 239, regulatory remediation, internal audit, risk management, or financial services governance initiatives preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Risk Management, Business/Finance, a related discipline, or equivalent experience required.
Salary Range:
$90,000 - $157,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
