Job description
At CI&T, we help large enterprises transform the potential of AI into real business impact with AI Deployment, AI-native execution, and tech-integrated business solutions.
With 30 years of experience in technological transformation, we accelerate innovation with expertise in Agentic SDLC, Application modernization, Data & AI, Martech and Business strategy.
We are 8,000 CI&Ters across more than 25 countries, collaborating to build solutions with real impact. AI is already part of how we work, evolve, and innovate every day.
CI&T is looking for a Senior Data Architect specialized in integrations to join a modernization initiative for a leading client in the digital commerce industry. This is a strategic role: the person hired will be the technical reference responsible for unifying data across core business systems — ERP, CRM, finance, and inventory management — and the client's customer-facing platform, ensuring that critical information, such as revenue figures, flows consistently and reliably across the entire operation.
The scope of this position covers the full integration lifecycle: from architecture design to implementation, governance, and continuous optimization of data flows. The role combines deep technical expertise in the integration platform with a data governance mindset, and includes direct collaboration with enterprise architects, product owners, and ERP functional consultants to translate business needs into robust, scalable integration solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Designs and documents end-to-end integration architecture, defining real-time, batch, and event-driven communication patterns across legacy systems, e-commerce platforms, SaaS ecosystems, and microservices.
- Develops and optimizes integration flows between the integration platform and the client's ERP, leveraging native connectors and multiple connection points to ensure reliable data synchronization.
- Defines development best practices, naming standards, and component reuse, ensuring consistency and maintainability across integration teams.
- Establishes centralized logging, auditing, and exception-handling strategies, enabling full traceability of business-critical data flows.
- Performs infrastructure sizing for the integration platform, optimizing concurrency, rate limiting, and resource consumption to ensure performance at scale.
- Manages the promotion of integration processes across environments (development, QA, and production) and version control, through structured deployment practices.
- Provides technical leadership to the development team by conducting code reviews and mentoring, ensuring adherence to the organization's architecture guidelines.
- Collaborates directly with product owners, enterprise architects, and ERP functional specialists to map data requirements and translate them into efficient integration flows.
- Assesses and proposes the inclusion of master data governance practices within the integration architecture, preventing discrepancies in business-critical metrics.
Requirements:
- Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise integration architectures (middleware, ESB, or iPaaS).
- Deep, hands-on expertise with the Boomi integration platform (AtomSphere, API Management, Atom/Molecule, EDI/B2B) — mandatory requirement.
- Experience integrating customer-facing systems (ERP, CRM, e-commerce) through connectors and APIs, with the ability to work across multiple simultaneous connection points.
- Solid knowledge of scripting languages used within the integration platform (Groovy or JavaScript) for advanced data manipulation and complex mapping.
- Strong command of data standards and formats (REST, SOAP, Webhooks, JSON, XML, XSLT, SQL) and authentication/security protocols (OAuth 2.0, JWT, TLS/SSL).
- Advanced English proficiency (C1 or above), for direct communication with the client's international technical leadership.
- Assertive communication skills, able to engage effectively with both technical teams and business executives.
- Systemic thinking and strong analytical skills to solve complex data synchronization and concurrency challenges.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with the Oracle NetSuite ERP, including SuiteTalk APIs (SOAP/REST), RESTlets, SuiteScript, or SuiteQL.
- Official certifications in the Boomi platform (Integration Developer, Integration Architect, or API Design).
- Experience with master data management tools, including the integration platform's own Data Hub capabilities.
- Functional knowledge of ERP modules related to Finance, Supply Chain, Order Management, or CRM.
- Familiarity with monitoring and APM tools (e.g., Datadog, Splunk, Dynatrace).
- Proactive mindset to propose improvements to legacy processes and adopt emerging technologies.
