2. Must-Have Skills (Mandatory)
- 5–8 years of progressive experience in Data Governance, Metadata Management, or Data Quality.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Purview for metadata ingestion, lineage visualization, and policy enforcement.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Cloud, Azure Synapse, and Talend Data Fabric/ETL pipelines.
- Proven ability to define and maintain data glossaries, reference data models, and lineage automation.
- Experience integrating governance controls with ServiceNow, JIRA, and Azure DevOps for issue tracking and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of data protection and compliance policies (masking, retention, encryption, RBAC).
- Demonstrated understanding of DAMA-DMBOK and EDM Council CDMC governance frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to drive governance adoption across IT and business teams.
3. Good-to-Have Skills (Optional)
- Familiarity with Informatica Data Quality, Power BI, Tableau, or Looker lineage integration.
- Knowledge of data stewardship models, governance maturity assessments, and KPI-based governance reporting.
- Experience leading tool evaluations or Proof of Concepts (PoCs) for metadata and quality management platforms.
- Exposure to automation of governance workflows using scripting or integration tools.
- Prior experience in regulatory reporting or audit preparation within data management domains.
- Strong ability to mentor teams on data ownership, literacy, and stewardship best practices.
