What you'll do

Reporting to the AVP, Data Capability & Activation, you will bridge the gap between business strategy and technical data delivery.

You will develop an enterprise understanding of how data flows from source systems through platforms, transformations, semantic layers, analytics, AI solutions, and business processes. You will help create trusted, reusable data assets that support enterprise decision-making and business outcomes.

Working closely with business leaders, Data Governance, Enterprise Architecture, Data Engineering, and Analytics teams, you will translate business requirements into scalable data architecture and guide the evolution of enterprise data capabilities.

Key responsibilities

·         Define and maintain enterprise data architecture for priority business domains.

·         Map end-to-end data flows from source systems to business consumption.

·         Identify authoritative sources and document data lineage.

·         Support ontology and semantic-model development through business and technical collaboration.

·         Connect enterprise KPIs and business measures to underlying data structures.

·         Assess downstream impacts of data, platform, and process changes.

·         Develop conceptual and logical data models.

·         Support major business initiatives by identifying required data capabilities and dependencies.

·         Create architecture standards, patterns, and reusable design approaches.

·         Communicate complex data concepts to both technical and business audiences.

What you bring

·         7+ years in Data Architecture, Information Architecture, Data Modeling, or a related discipline.

·         Strong understanding of enterprise data flows, lineage, metadata, and semantic models.

·         Experience working across business and technology teams.

·         Knowledge of modern cloud and analytics platforms.

·         Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills.

·         Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language.

·         Experience supporting large-scale data transformation and modernization efforts.

Preferred experience

·         Retail, loyalty, customer, merchandise, supply chain, or financial-services environments.

·         Databricks, Azure, Fabric, Power BI, GCP, or comparable cloud ecosystems.

·         Enterprise ontology, business glossary, semantic-layer, or data-product initiatives.

·         Large enterprise architecture and modernization programs.

What success looks like

You will help create a trusted, connected, and reusable data ecosystem by:

·         Aligning business concepts and data definitions.

·         Improving visibility of enterprise data flows.

·         Reducing duplication and conflicting metrics.

·         Increasing confidence in KPIs and analytical outputs.

·         Enabling business and technology teams to make faster, better-informed decisions.

·         Connecting strategic business outcomes to scalable data capabilities.
