As Marketing Data Analyst, you will own the analytical point of view on marketing performance across Coalition's insurance and security businesses. You will connect data from across the marketing and sales stack, explain what is driving results, and bring marketing leadership recommendations that change what we do next. This role is weighted toward insight over reporting. Dashboards matter and you will keep them healthy, but the true value you’re going to bring is analysis and the judgment behind it. You will partner closely with marketing operations, sales operations, data engineering, data science, and marketing leadership.
Run end-to-end analysis across both the insurance and security businesses, from awareness and demand capture through intent, pipeline, and closed revenue
That includes calls on what to repeat, what to cut, and where to move our collective marketing efforts
Pull together CRM, marketing automation, ad platform, web analytics, and sales engagement data to answer questions no existing dashboard can
Help define the metrics, set the benchmarks, and get marketing and sales agreeing on the definitions and what matters
Own the analytical narrative for the monthly CMO Data Review and the quarterly Marketing and GTM QBRs

We file this job under Analyst, by the work the posting describes.
Analysts answer business questions with data. They pull numbers with SQL, build reports and dashboards, and explain what changed and why to the people making decisions.
Most postings ask for SQL, spreadsheets, a dashboard tool such as Tableau or Power BI, and clear writing.
Unlike a data scientist, an analyst mostly explains what happened rather than building models that predict what will.
