If you are a Master Data professional experienced in ERP transitions and translating governance standards into practical execution, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you. As Master Data Lead, you will lead master data readiness for the ERP transition and strengthen the processes and controls needed to sustain data quality after go-live. Working with the European Master Data organization, SAP experts, the Global JDE Data Governance team, IT, and business stakeholders, you will ensure that data is complete, validated, and fit for migration. This is a leadership-level individual contributor role in which success depends on expertise, accountability, and the ability to influence stakeholders across functions, countries, and data domains.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Own the master data readiness plan for the ERP transition, covering data profiling, cleansing, enrichment, mapping, validation, migration, reconciliation, and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Translate established global and European governance standards into practical processes, controls, responsibilities, and ways of working.
  • Coordinate with European and global Master Data teams, SAP and JDE experts, business owners, IT, the ERP project team, and implementation partners to resolve issues, dependencies, and exceptions.
  • Define and document data ownership, stewardship responsibilities, approval workflows, quality thresholds, exception management, RACI definitions, work instructions, and control evidence.
  • Establish and report data quality KPIs covering completeness, accuracy, consistency, validity, uniqueness, and timeliness, and coordinate corrective action for recurring issues.
  • Provide functional direction and day-to-day coordination to data domain specialists and contributors, including the planned Product, Manufacturing, and Supplier Master Data roles.
  • Partner with IT and ERP teams on workflows, interfaces, validation rules, system changes, and reporting that affect master data quality and process performance.
  • Design scalable, auditable processes that remain effective after go-live and adapt them as the future JDE Master Data operating model develops.
  • Protect transition milestones and business continuity through clear follow-up, stakeholder alignment, and timely escalation through the appropriate governance channels.
  • Support compliance with Emerson policies covering ethics, information security, health and safety, environmental standards, and international trade.

Who You Are:
You are a credible, hands-on Master Data leader who combines strong ERP and data-process knowledge with practical execution. You work effectively with established governance owners, respect existing decision rights, and bring structure without creating unnecessary layers. You influence without relying on formal authority, resolve ownership conflicts constructively, and remain close to detailed data issues while keeping the wider transformation objectives in view.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Proven experience in Master Data management, data governance execution, ERP-enabled business processes, or a comparable transformation role.
  • Practical experience supporting an ERP implementation, migration, carve-out, harmonization, or major system transition in which Master Data was a critical workstream.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP and/or JD Edwards and an understanding of how Master Data affects end-to-end business transactions.
  • Knowledge of Product, Manufacturing, Supplier, Customer, Logistics, and Pricing Master Data, with strong expertise in at least two domains preferred.
  • Experience implementing governance standards through ownership models, data quality controls, KPIs, approval requirements, issue management, and escalation processes.
  • Ability to collaborate with regional and global governance owners and translate their decisions into clear actions.
  • Ability to influence senior leaders and business owners in a matrix organization while maintaining accountability within the appropriate business functions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, negotiation, and communication skills, with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate in an evolving environment and balance global standards with valid European business requirements.
  • Excellent written and spoken English. German language skills are strongly preferred.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, supply chain, information systems, engineering, data management, or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Experience operationalizing an established Master Data governance model in a multinational manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience with data migration, data quality or governance tools, and dashboard-based reporting.
  • Experience supporting a multi-country ERP transformation involving global governance, regional Master Data, and business teams.
  • Lean, continuous improvement, process management, or data governance certification.

Our Culture & Commitment to You:
At Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
