We file this job under Analyst, by the work the posting describes.
Analysts answer business questions with data. They pull numbers with SQL, build reports and dashboards, and explain what changed and why to the people making decisions.
Most postings ask for SQL, spreadsheets, a dashboard tool such as Tableau or Power BI, and clear writing.
Unlike a data scientist, an analyst mostly explains what happened rather than building models that predict what will.
The Pricing Strategy Analyst will support RealPage’s enterprise pricing and monetization strategy through quantitative analysis, financial modeling, competitive intelligence, and pricing performance monitoring. The role will analyze pricing and packaging opportunities across new and existing products, evaluate commercial performance, and support the development of fact-based pricing recommendations. Working closely with Pricing Strategy leadership and cross-functional partners in Product, Finance, Sales, RevOps, and Business Units, the Analyst will contribute to pricing optimization initiatives, new product launches, and ongoing improvements to pricing frameworks. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to translate complex data into clear business insights.
