About the role

We file this job under Analyst, by the work the posting describes.

Analysts answer business questions with data. They pull numbers with SQL, build reports and dashboards, and explain what changed and why to the people making decisions.

Most postings ask for SQL, spreadsheets, a dashboard tool such as Tableau or Power BI, and clear writing.

Unlike a data scientist, an analyst mostly explains what happened rather than building models that predict what will.

  • Own and maintain standard product and client materials, with a willingness to support the team during peak reporting periods
  • Produce recurring monthly and quarterly materials, including customized reports and client presentations
  • Peer review team deliverables as needed to ensure accuracy, data reasonability, and a consistently high-quality client experience
  • Partner with Investment Products & Fund Strategies and the Client Group to understand our investment approaches, client reporting needs, and the guidelines that govern marketing and client reporting activity
  • Primarily cover Equity and Fixed Income products, with exposure to other asset classes as business needs evolve

  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Independent self-starter who works well in a team environment and can manage multiple assignments while delivering high-quality work against strict and competing deadlines
  • Comfortable using internal and external systems and databases, with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong interest in process improvement, automation, and the thoughtful adoption of emerging technologies, including AI
  • Positive, collegial attitude and a high level of professionalism
  • CFA Level 2 candidate or qualification preferred
