About the role

We file this job under Analyst, by the work the posting describes.

Analysts answer business questions with data. They pull numbers with SQL, build reports and dashboards, and explain what changed and why to the people making decisions.

Most postings ask for SQL, spreadsheets, a dashboard tool such as Tableau or Power BI, and clear writing.

Unlike a data scientist, an analyst mostly explains what happened rather than building models that predict what will.

At PSP Investments, you’ll join a team of motivated and engaged professionals, dedicated to propelling our organization further than ever before.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Data Delivery and Enablement, the successful candidate will contribute to the mandate of the Business Operations Servicing and Enablement (BOSE) team.

BOSE serves as a centre of expertise, platform owner and service provider for business and operations teams. The team ensures the stability, evolution and operation of the platforms under its responsibility, oversees the availability and quality of the data required for operations, and manages relationships with technology vendors. BOSE also plays a key role in operational readiness, go-live support, and the ongoing evolution of the SimCorp One ecosystem.

As a member of the team, you will help ensure the reliability, performance and evolution of the platforms supporting PSP’s investment activities, while assisting business partners in using these solutions effectively.

ABOUT YOUR ROLE

As a Senior Analyst, Data Delivery and Enablement, you’ll:

  • Gather, understand, analyze and manage requirements related to the operation, performance and evolution of the platforms under BOSE’s responsibility, and lead complex analysis initiatives aimed at improving their stability, automation and operational resilience
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the SimCorp One platform, including monitoring batch job groups (BJG), portfolio calculations (PFC), interfaces, services and data availability
  • Maintain an end-to-end understanding of the operational chain supported by the platform, coordinate required interventions among the relevant teams, and help ensure business continuity
  • Act as the primary point of contact for platform-related issues with vendors, technology partners and internal teams, and coordinate the dependencies required for effective and consistent service delivery
  • Contribute to the platform’s evolution by assessing the impact of new releases and features and participating in change management and go-live activities, including technical testing, regression testing, environment preparation and operational readiness
  • Document and maintain the support procedures and knowledge base under BOSE’s responsibility
  • Contribute to establishing and continuously improving support models, operational processes, escalation practices and operating standards to strengthen service reliability and efficiency
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for the platform components under your responsibility and participate in the team’s planning, prioritization, review and continuous improvement activities

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, business administration or a relevant discipline
  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in a role related to application support, platform operations, technology service management or investment systems
  • Experience operating and supporting business-critical solutions in a production environment.
  • Experience with investment management platforms such as SimCorp Dimension or SimCorp One is a significant asset
  • Knowledge of incident, problem, change, release and operational support management concepts
  • Experience implementing operational controls, monitoring mechanisms, dashboards or performance indicators
  • Experience collaborating with technology vendors and multidisciplinary teams in a platform support or evolution context
  • Knowledge of SQL query languages and familiarity with Azure DevOps, ServiceNow or equivalent tools is an asset
  • Ability to turn recurring operational issues into sustainable improvements to platforms, processes or controls.
  • Bilingualism: English and French (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)

We offer a tailored employee experience and competitive total rewards and benefits package* designed to attract and retain global diverse talent, reward performance, and reinforce business strategies and priorities. Beyond salary and incentive pay eligibility, you have access to:
