Company:

We’re a company of people who like to forge our own path. We invented the blue jean in 1873 and today we are one of the world's largest brand-name apparel companies and a global leader in jeanswear. We pioneered labor and environmental guidelines in manufacturing. And we work to build sustainability into everything we do. Our brands stand for freedom and self-expression around the world.

Where we lead, others follow. For over 170 years we’ve used the strength of our brands to lead with our values and make an outsized impact on the world. We employ more than 15,000 people globally to support our great brands: Levi’s®, Levi Strauss Signature™, and Beyond Yoga®.

Position Summary/Objective:

  • Support the design, rapid prototyping, delivery and adoption of analytics, GenAI, AI-agent and decision intelligence products across Distribution & Logistics. Work closely with the Director and regional business partners across inbound logistics and imports, 3PL and carrier performance, distribution center operations, and outbound transportation for e-commerce, retail and wholesale. The role combines D&L business analysis with hands-on capability across data, semantic modeling, dashboards and AI-agent creation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with D&L stakeholders to understand operational decisions, pain points, workflows and opportunities, converting them into analytical requirements and actionable products.
  • Support inbound and import analytics covering PO and shipment milestones, forwarders, customs and border performance, ports, demurrage, container utilization, lead-time variability and inbound freight cost.
  • Support 3PL and carrier performance analytics covering service, tender acceptance, transit time, claims, capacity, contractual performance, root causes and corrective actions.
  • Support DC operations analytics across receiving, dock-to-stock, inventory accuracy, backlog, order cycle time, throughput, labor productivity, capacity, order accuracy, automation and cost per unit.
  • Support outbound transportation analytics for e-commerce, retail and wholesale, including OTD, final-mile lead time, fill rate, perfect order, parcel and non-parcel performance, lanes, modes, claims and cost-to-serve.
  • Define and document KPIs, business rules, dimensions, grains, hierarchies, exclusions, targets and drill paths, and validate data quality and reconciliations with regional source systems.
  • Work with IT Data & Analytics and Engineering to translate D&L requirements into GCP and ARC data products and LookML semantic models and to test joins, measures, dimensions, lineage and controls.
  • Design, develop and iterate executive, tactical and operational dashboards in Google Looker, applying strong visualization, usability, exception-led and action-oriented design principles.
  • Create and refine GenAI and AI-agent pilots for use cases such as shipment-risk monitoring, carrier and lane analysis, DC exception management, root-cause explanation and recommended actions.
  • Configure agent prompts, business instructions, grounding context, tools or workflows, evaluations, guardrails and human-review steps; test output quality, reliability and user value before scaling.
  • Conduct exploratory, diagnostic and scenario analysis and support predictive or prescriptive models with clearly documented assumptions and business interpretation.
  • Write user stories and acceptance criteria, support UAT, document solutions, train users and monitor adoption, usage and business impact.
  • Contribute to cross-functional squads and actively share reusable methods, semantic patterns, dashboard components and agent designs across the Planning & Analytics team.

Performance Expectations:

  • Business partnership and insight:
    • Deliver timely analyses and product requirements grounded in D&L decisions and operational workflows.
  • Technical and product quality:
    • Produce reliable semantic definitions, intuitive dashboards and well-tested AI agents with clear documentation and controls.
  • Adoption and impact:
    • Support successful pilots and scaled products that improve visibility, action, service, cost, capacity or productivity.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 3+ years of experience in distribution, logistics, transportation, warehousing, supply chain analytics, data products, BI or AI-enabled solution delivery.
  • D&L Domain Knowledge:
    • Knowledge of one or more D&L areas and willingness to build end-to-end expertise across inbound, imports, 3PLs, carriers, DC operations and outbound channels.
  • Data, Visualization and AI Skills:
    • Strong practical capability in SQL and data analysis, data profiling and validation, KPI logic, dimensional and semantic modeling, dashboard visualization and user-experience design. Working familiarity with GCP, ARC and Google Looker / LookML is strongly preferred. This is not a reporting-only role: candidates must also demonstrate hands-on fluency in GenAI and AI-agent creation, including prompt and instruction design, grounding, context configuration, workflow or tool integration, testing, evaluation, human-in-the-loop controls, monitoring and responsible-AI practices.
  • Analytical Skills:
    • Able to structure ambiguous questions, analyze large datasets, identify drivers and exceptions, communicate findings and translate them into decisions or product features.
  • Product Delivery:
    • Experience or strong aptitude in discovery, requirements, prototyping, agile collaboration, UAT, documentation, training and iterative improvement.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Fluent English communication required. Able to work effectively with operators, analysts, engineers, product teams and leaders across regions.
  • Leadership Abilities:
    • Proactive, self-directed and accountable. Influences through expertise, curiosity and responsiveness rather than authority.
  • Strategic Thinking:
    • Connects individual metrics and analyses to end-to-end service, cost, capacity, inventory-flow and customer outcomes.

Reporting Structure:

  • Reports to the Director, Distribution & Logistics Decision Intelligence. No direct reports.
  • Location and Travel Requirements
    • Mexico. Periodic travel to DCs, logistics operations, regional offices and team locations may be required.
  • Additional Information:
