About the role

We file this job under Analyst, by the work the posting describes.

Analysts answer business questions with data. They pull numbers with SQL, build reports and dashboards, and explain what changed and why to the people making decisions.

Most postings ask for SQL, spreadsheets, a dashboard tool such as Tableau or Power BI, and clear writing.

Unlike a data scientist, an analyst mostly explains what happened rather than building models that predict what will.

  • The right candidate possesses strong analytical skills, but more importantly, demonstrates:
  • Being a data champion - understanding sources, interconnections, and metrics
  • Having the technological knowledge and skills to research, design, build, and implement

  • A growth mindset and willingness to embrace new challenges
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling abilities
  • The ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong relationship-building and collaboration capabilities
  • A bias toward action and delivering results
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity, rapidly changing priorities, and challenging assumptions

We can teach tools and technology. We are looking for someone with the drive, adaptability, and desire to continuously grow.

You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
