Job description
Job Description
AbbVie’s Dermatology Franchise is seeking a strong analytical candidate to join a high-performing team supporting the new launches of RINVOQ in Vitiligo and Alopecia Areata. RINVOQ, AbbVie’s JAK inhibitor with a proven track record across multiple immunology indications, is now entering the market in these two serious dermatological conditions with significant unmet need. This is a unique opportunity to use analytics to drive early uptake, optimize investment, and accelerate growth across two new launches.
Major Responsibilities:
- Analyze physician, patient, account, and competitive data at national and sub-national levels to track early launch performance, understand uptake and market dynamics in Vitiligo and Alopecia Areata, and identify opportunities and barriers to growth
- Drive the launch learning agenda by analyzing patient journeys, new-to-brand and switch dynamics, treatment patterns, persistence, and competitive response across both new indications – translating findings into actionable insights and tactical adjustments
- Develop fact-based promotional investment strategies and guide investment decisions through marketing mix and business optimization analyses to maximize performance and influence business growth across both new launches
- Develop near-term launch KPIs and longer-term ROI measurements, and manage ongoing performance reporting, to inform recommendations that optimize personal and non-personal promotional channels
- Support brand planning and financial forecasting by providing analytical inputs into the annual plan, long-range plan, and monthly estimates, ensuring assumptions are updated with actual launch performance; serve as a key conduit to Forecasting
- Understand sub-national drivers of performance, including differences in dermatologist targeting and customer response across Vitiligo and Alopecia Areata, as well as cross-brand dynamics within the broader dermatology and RINVOQ portfolio, across distribution channels and customers
- Leverage innovative, sophisticated analytic models that address critical issues while meeting key business criteria (e.g., cost, risk, business impact) and key technical criteria (e.g., reliability, validity, and predictability)
- Lead fast-paced ad-hoc analytics projects, proactively identifying key business questions on product performance that inform strategic and tactical decision-making and the brand planning process, integrating multiple stakeholder perspectives
- Effectively work with cross-functional partners to deliver integrated analytics that reflect the diverse contributions across functions
- Lead contract support and external suppliers to enhance the use of advanced modeling and analytic methods and fully leverage available data assets to produce actionable results

- Advanced experience with 3rd party pharmaceutical data sources like IQVIA/SHS Sales Data (APLD, DDD, Xponent, NSP, NPA), and Specialty pharmacy data and one or multiple analytic domains (promo optimization, digital, launch support, etc) is a plus
- Deep hands-on expertise in current analytical methods & tools (including machine learning)
