ROLE OVERVIEW:

As the Manager for Data Transformation, you will guide the transformation of Content Operations through the design, implementation, and adoption of strategic technology capabilities. You will act as the bridge between business, operations, and technology teams to modernize processes, reduce operational complexity, and drive automation at scale.

In addition to defining the transformation strategy, product direction, and technology roadmap, you will lead and develop a team of Content Operations Transformation Leads responsible for the execution and delivery of content transformation activities. You will ensure operational excellence while driving continuous improvement, capability development, and adoption of new ways of working.

This role combines people leadership, product ownership, process transformation, stakeholder management, and technology strategy. Success in this role requires an individual who is comfortable operating in ambiguity, influencing senior stakeholders, leading teams through change, challenging legacy approaches, and delivering measurable business outcomes through technology and process innovation. Team size 7-15 people.

As both a strategic leader and an integral member of a highly talented team, you will shape how Content Operations evolves through the adoption of emerging technologies, accelerating automation, improving data quality, and delivering outcomes that directly support the LSEG Data & Analytics strategy. Success in this role will be measured not only by the transformation you lead, but by your ability to build team capability, empower others, and create a culture where people and technology together drive lasting business impact.

  • Create a high-performing, inclusive, and collaborative team culture focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Manage resource planning, workload prioritisation, and capacity across the team to ensure delivery commitments are met.
  • Support career development, succession planning, and wider talent management activities.
  • Drive adoption of new tools, processes, and ways of working within the team and broader organisation.

Product Strategy & Ownership

  • Help define the vision, roadmap, and priorities for content infrastructure capabilities.
  • Translate business challenges into scalable technology solutions.
  • Balance stakeholder requirements, business value, technical constraints, and operational impact when prioritising features and enhancements.
  • Own business cases, product requirements, and release plans for capabilities under your remit.
  • Provide strategic direction to the team, ensuring operational priorities remain aligned with the long-term product vision and transformation roadmap.

  • Lead the team through organisational and technology change, ensuring successful adoption of new capabilities and processes.
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement where team members actively identify and deliver efficiency opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and optimise operational processes.
  • Lead technology-enabled transformation initiatives across multiple business functions.
  • Develop migration and adoption strategies for replacing legacy tools and processes.
  • Drive measurable improvements in efficiency, quality, resilience, and user experience.

  • Build strong relationships across Product, Technology, Operations, Data Strategy, Risk, and Governance teams.
  • Gather, assess, and prioritise stakeholder feedback to inform product decisions.

  • Define KPIs and success measures to monitor product performance, adoption, stability, and business value.
  • Ensure operational controls, governance, and quality standards are maintained.
  • Use data and reporting to drive continuous improvement decisions and support risk management and regulatory compliance requirements where relevant.
