Job Overview:

The Senior Reporting Analyst is responsible for the organization's enterprise reporting strategy and Sigma business intelligence platform. This role works with business leaders to understand how they measure success and develops reporting that helps them monitor performance, identify issues, and understand the operational drivers behind key metrics. The Senior Reporting Analyst regularly partners with business teams to conduct root cause analyses and uses these insights to redefine how we present data to fuel data decisions.

This role will establish a unified reporting approach in Sigma that reduces manual effort, standardizes metrics, and provides a consistent reporting experience across the organization. As the organization's Sigma subject matter expert, the Senior Reporting Analyst is responsible for the administration, governance, and ongoing development of the platform. This includes establishing reporting standards, reusable data models, dashboard design guidelines, security, and development best practices that create a consistent and scalable reporting environment.

The Senior Reporting Analyst will also lead the adoption of Sigma across the organization by promoting best practices, training business users and report developers, and building self-service reporting capabilities. This role serves as an advocate for modern reporting practices, helping teams understand how to use Sigma effectively while reducing reliance on manual reporting and spreadsheet-based analysis.

This position sits in the Analytics Engineering organization which plays a crucial role in building robust and reliable data pipelines and data models that enable data-driven decision-making, powering various analytics, AI, and machine learning initiatives within Coursera.
