About the role

As a Senior Data Science & Analytics Consultant, you help advertisers make better marketing decisions by combining advanced modelling, analytical rigour, and client consultancy. You combine a strong data science foundation with excellent consulting and communication skills. You are equally comfortable working with data scientists on a complex analytical challenge, leading a client workshop, presenting in a boardroom, or developing a commercial proposal.

On the one hand, you can independently scope, develop, validate, and interpret complex models across marketing mix modelling, experimentation, attribution, audience analytics, forecasting, and predictive analytics. You contribute hands-on to technically demanding projects while acting as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders. You connect modelling choices and limitations to business implications, explaining not only what the data says, but also how robust the evidence is and what the client should do next.

On the other hand, you identify opportunities to create new products and services based on market developments, client needs, emerging technologies, and reusable analytical methods. Together with colleagues from Data Science, Technology, and Media, you help design, test, and commercialize innovative solutions.

Essentially, you will help our advertisers succeed today, while looking ahead to discover and build the products and capabilities we will need tomorrow.

Your Responsibilities

Advanced Modelling & Methodological Quality

  • Lead or contribute hands-on to complex modelling engagements, from problem definition and data assessment through model development, validation, interpretation, and delivery.
  • Apply strong statistical and econometric foundations to select, adapt, and implement appropriate methods for complex or ambiguous business questions, including causal inference, time-series analysis, predictive modelling, and optimization.
  • Review model code and outputs, troubleshoot analytical issues, communicate assumptions and limitations, and safeguard methodological quality.
  • Develop reusable code, methods, and analytical components that strengthen and scale the team’s solutions.

Client Advisory & Analytics Translation

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on marketing effectiveness, measurement, and analytics challenges.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear business recommendations and actionable next steps.
  • Use excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills to lead workshops and stakeholder discussions with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Manage multiple client engagements and stakeholders simultaneously, helping clients embed insights into marketing and media decision-making.

Product Innovation & Commercial Development

  • Use your commercial mindset and curiosity about data, analytics, AI, and marketing technology to identify recurring client needs and market opportunities that can become scalable products and services.
  • Collaborate with Data Science, Technology, and Media teams to design, test, and improve analytics solutions.
  • Support proposition development, business cases, and go-to-market plans, and identify appropriate upsell and cross-sell opportunities.

Team Development & Leadership

  • Review the work of analysts and data scientists, resolve difficult modelling issues, and establish practical quality standards.
  • Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to best practices and knowledge sharing across the organization.
  • Promote effective collaboration across Analytics, Technology, Data Science, and Media teams.

Tooling & Systems

  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with complex data structures, large datasets, and data-quality checks.
  • Advanced, hands-on proficiency in Python or R for data preparation, statistical analysis, model development, validation, and reproducible workflows.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, Google Cloud or Snowflake.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Looker Studio.
  • Proficient in collaboration and project management tools including Teams, Outlook and Asana.
  • Familiarity with AI and the advantages and risks it poses in your work.
  • Familiarity with Omni and Omnicom's marketing technology ecosystem is a plus.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate combines senior consulting capability with the technical depth to take ownership of complex analytical work:

  • 6–10 years of experience in data science, marketing science, econometrics, advanced analytics, or analytics consulting, including substantial hands-on modelling responsibility.
  • Worked at a media agency, consultancy, analytics consultancy, research agency or advertiser-side insights team.
  • A track record of independently developing or leading complex models and confidently challenging methodological choices and outputs.
  • Enough business understanding to sit comfortably with CMOs and Marketing Directors.
  • A proven track record in developing client relationships and growing business.
  • A passion for finding new opportunities where data, analytics and technology can create value.
