Demand for Analyst roles

New Analyst postings at the employers we follow are up 19% over the last 5 weeks compared with the 5 before.

Weekly new Analyst postings at the same employers, from the week of August 17 to the week of October 26. The fewest in a week was 966, the most 1,389, and the latest week had 1,357.

Each bar is one week of new postings. The darkest bars are the last 5 weeks.

Counted from the hiring pages we’ve followed for at least five weeks, so employers we add don’t look like growth. Updated weekly.

About the role

We file this job under Analyst, by the work the posting describes.

Analysts answer business questions with data. They pull numbers with SQL, build reports and dashboards, and explain what changed and why to the people making decisions.

Most postings ask for SQL, spreadsheets, a dashboard tool such as Tableau or Power BI, and clear writing.

Unlike a data scientist, an analyst mostly explains what happened rather than building models that predict what will.

You’ll join the Yum! Europe Supply Chain Centre of Excellence, working across KFC and Taco Bell to help our Supply Chain teams make better decisions through stronger data, reporting, processes and technology.

You’ll work closely with teams across Procurement, Supply Chain Operations, Finance, Responsible Sourcing, Product Integrity / Food Safety & Quality, our European markets and Global and Regional Technology and Data teams.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As our Supply Chain Data & Reporting Analyst, you’ll help turn fragmented Supply Chain data into something people can trust and use.

This is a hands-on role with real ownership. You’ll run important data and reporting processes today, while helping us build smarter, more automated ways of working for the future.

You’ll bring together product, supplier, pricing, volume, specification, quality and responsible sourcing data from across European markets, creating consistent and reliable information that teams can use to make better decisions.

WHAT WILL YOU SPEND YOUR TIME DOING?

You’ll own recurring Supply Chain data and reporting processes, collecting, validating and reconciling information and getting to the root cause when something doesn’t look right. You’ll support forecasting and reporting, work with our Data Specialist to build a more consistent data foundation across KFC and Taco Bell, and help maintain product, specification, quality and responsible sourcing data. You’ll also look for opportunities to make the way we work simpler and smarter – using tools such as Excel, Power Query, Power BI, automation and AI to reduce manual work and improve how we use our data.

WHAT WE LOVE FROM YOU:

  • You’re bright, logical and enjoy getting to the bottom of a problem.
  • You’re curious about technology and keen to learn new tools and ways of working.
  • You’re dependable, detail-focused and take ownership of seeing things through.
  • You’re practical – happy to get stuck into recurring work while always looking for a better way.
  • You’re collaborative, low ego and comfortable working with people who aren’t data specialists.
  • You’re confident enough to challenge when something doesn’t make sense and constructive in finding a solution.

EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Experience working as a Data Analyst or in a similar data-focused analytical role.
  • Strong numerical and data literacy, with confident Excel skills.
  • Experience working with structured datasets and checking, validating and reconciling data.
  • A logical approach to problem-solving, particularly when the answer isn’t immediately obvious.
  • Ability to take ownership of recurring processes and deliver them reliably.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Curiosity about technology, with examples of using data or technology to solve real problems.

Desirable

  • Experience with Power Query, Power BI or similar data transformation and reporting tools.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL or Python.
  • Exposure to Power Platform, databases, automation or AI-enabled tools.
  • Experience within Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, reporting or a multi-market environment.
