About the role

We file this job under Data Leadership, by the work the posting describes.

Data leaders run data teams or design how a company's data fits together. Managers hire, set priorities and answer for whether the data work pays off; architects choose the systems and the shape of the data.

Expect years of hands-on data work, experience leading people or projects, and the ability to explain tradeoffs to executives.

Unlike a senior engineer or analyst, most of a data leader's week goes to people, planning and decisions rather than building.

We combine the strategic depth of a top-tier analytical consultancy with the speed of a digitally native operating organization, serving diverse clients across the rapidly growing S4 Capital network, every sector, market, and channel.

About Data Science and AI Product Enablement

Data Science and AI Product Enablement brings together Monks' advanced analytics and AI product capabilities in North America. The function pairs market-leading data science — predictive modeling, marketing mix modeling, attribution, incrementality testing, and optimization — with the engineering, product, and solution consulting needed to turn that intelligence into AI-powered products, automation, and agentic workflows.

It is a core engine of Monks' full-service product roadmap and its AI transformation agenda for brands.

The Role

The SVP, Data Science and AI Product Enablement will lead the strategy, growth, and delivery of Monks' data science and AI product practice across North America.

This leader will own the vision for how advanced analytics and AI become scalable products and client solutions — from discovery and solution design through build, deployment, and adoption — and will be accountable for the commercial performance, talent, and market reputation of the practice.

As a senior executive, the SVP will partner with Media, Creative, Strategy, Growth, and Technology Services leadership to embed data science and AI across the full-service offering, shape the integrated product roadmap, and position Monks as the agency partner of choice for AI transformation in marketing.

Location: New York preferred; candidates based in Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Denver will also be considered.

Salary Range: $225,000–$275,000 USD annually

Key Responsibilities

Practice Leadership & P&L Ownership

  • Own the P&L for the Data Science and AI Product Enablement practice, including revenue, margin, utilization, forecasting, and investment decisions.

  • Establish the operating rhythm, business plan, and resourcing model needed to scale the practice profitably.

Growth & New Business

  • Drive revenue growth across existing clients and new business opportunities.

  • Lead and support senior-level pitches, shape AI and data science propositions, and partner with Growth teams to convert market demand into qualified pipeline and closed revenue.

Client Leadership & Executive Sponsorship

  • Serve as the senior executive sponsor for strategic clients, including CMOs, CDOs, and CIOs.

  • Lead critical client engagements, including AI transformation roadmaps, quarterly business reviews, escalations, and renewal decisions.

  • Build strong, referenceable, multi-capability client relationships.

Delivery Economics & Commercial Models

  • Set standards for scoping, pricing, and delivery quality across the practice.

  • Develop value-based, product-led, and subscription commercial models, leveraging AI-accelerated delivery to improve margins and cost-to-serve.

  • Partner with Finance and Resource Management on capacity planning and investment decisions.

Organizational Leadership

  • Lead, scale, and develop a multidisciplinary organization of data scientists, AI and full-stack engineers, solution consultants, and product leaders.

  • Build a strong leadership bench, design effective team structures, and foster an inclusive, high-performance culture.

Data Science & AI Strategy

  • Define the vision and roadmap for data science and AI across the North America practice, aligned with Monks' global Data and Media strategy.

  • Lead the evolution of the advanced analytics portfolio, including predictive modeling, marketing mix modeling, attribution, incrementality, optimization, and causal inference, and its integration with generative and agentic AI.

  • Establish methodological standards and quality controls to ensure models and AI systems are rigorous, explainable, and trusted by clients.

  • Champion responsible AI practices, including governance, evaluation, data privacy, and compliance with client and regulatory requirements.

AI Product Development & Enablement

  • Own the AI product roadmap for the practice and its integration into Monks' broader full-service product roadmap.

  • Lead the development of reusable AI and data science products, accelerators, and platforms that deliver measurable business value.

  • Build a forward-deployed delivery model that takes solutions from client discovery and prototyping through production deployment and adoption.

  • Define product requirements, prioritization, and success metrics in partnership with Engineering, Technology Services, and client teams.

  • Drive adoption of AI products across client engagements and internal workflows, with clear measures of business impact.

Cross-Functional Integration

  • Partner with Media, Creative, Content, Strategy, and Growth leadership to embed data science and AI into integrated client offerings.

  • Shape how analytics and AI products support media planning, creative optimization, content performance, and measurement.

  • Serve as a senior leader in agency-wide AI transformation initiatives and internal capability building.

Partnerships & Ecosystem

  • Lead senior relationships with platform and technology partners such as Google, Meta, Amazon, Adobe, Microsoft, Anthropic, and OpenAI.

  • Develop co-innovation, co-development, and go-to-market initiatives that strengthen Monks' offerings.

  • Evaluate build, buy, and partner decisions for AI tooling, models, and data infrastructure.

Thought Leadership & Innovation

  • Represent Monks externally as a recognized voice in marketing science, AI products, and AI transformation through conferences, publications, and industry engagements.

  • Stay ahead of emerging developments in AI, machine learning, agentic systems, and marketing technology, translating innovation into practice strategy.

  • Foster a culture of experimentation, rapid prototyping, and continuous innovation, with a clear path from pilot to scalable product.
