The ideal candidate combines strong data analysis and business understanding with enough technical capability to investigate data and application issues across multiple systems. The role requires the ability to understand business processes, analyse CRM and database data, interpret application logs, and translate findings into clear and actionable recommendations.

The role involves working across CRM platforms, relational databases, application logs, and integrated systems, collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to understand issues, validate data, and identify root causes.

Key Responsibilities

· Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, reconcile, validate, and analyse data.

· Analyse CRM data structures, objects, relationships, statuses, and business flows to support operational and analytical requirements.

· Investigate application logs and events to identify anomalies, trace process failures, and support root cause analysis.

· Reconcile data across multiple systems and identify discrepancies, missing data, and inconsistencies.

· Investigate data quality issues, determine likely root causes, and recommend practical solutions.

· Connect business process behaviour with underlying data and system events to explain what happened and why.

· Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, developers, architects, and operational teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues.

· Translate analysis into clear business conclusions, recommendations, and actions for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

· Prepare analytical documentation and communicate findings in a concise and structured way.

Required Skills & Experience

· Proven experience as a Business / Technical Data Analyst, Data Analyst, or technically focused Business Analyst in a complex enterprise environment.

· Very good SQL skills, including joins, aggregations, filtering, subqueries/CTEs, and data validation.

· Practical experience analysing data in a relational database environment such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or similar.

· Experience analysing application or system logs and using log/event data to investigate issues and identify root causes.

· Experience working with CRM data and understanding customer, case, interaction, account, or related business entities and relationships.

· Strong understanding of data integration, data mapping, reconciliation, and data quality principles.

· Ability to investigate issues across multiple systems and connect business process steps with underlying data and system events.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

· Strong communication skills and ability to explain analytical and technical findings in clear business language.

· Experience working in Agile, cross-functional delivery environments.

Consulting & Stakeholder Management

· Strong consulting mindset, with the ability to approach problems from both business and data perspectives.

· Confidence in engaging stakeholders, clarifying ambiguous requirements, and challenging assumptions constructively.

· Ability to work independently, take ownership of analysis and deliverables, and drive issues toward resolution.

· Structured approach to problem-solving, with a focus on business impact and practical outcomes.

· Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to present complex findings clearly.

· Adaptability and comfort working across different systems, processes, and evolving priorities.

Nice to Have

· Experience in banking, payments, fintech, or financial services.

· Experience with Salesforce or another enterprise CRM platform.

· Experience with Splunk, Elastic, Datadog, or another log / observability platform.

· Experience with CRM-specific query languages such as Salesforce SOQL, APIs, or system integrations.

· Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.
