About the role

We file this job under Analyst, by the work the posting describes.

Analysts answer business questions with data. They pull numbers with SQL, build reports and dashboards, and explain what changed and why to the people making decisions.

Most postings ask for SQL, spreadsheets, a dashboard tool such as Tableau or Power BI, and clear writing.

Unlike a data scientist, an analyst mostly explains what happened rather than building models that predict what will.

Drive user growth by turning analytics into business impact

At Resmed, you’ll transform how we understand and grow our connected-device user base. As the User Data Growth Analytics Lead, you’ll lead the measurement framework that explains what drives user engagement, retention, and expansion—and how those dynamics connect directly to demand and revenue. In this role, you’ll help Resmed make smarter, faster decisions about how to grow value across millions of active users.

You’ll collaborate across Finance, Product, and Commercial teams to connect insights from our digital ecosystem, including myAir and AirView, with the financial performance that drives our continued growth. Your analysis will shape trusted metrics, forecasting models, and next-generation analytics products that help connect patient engagement to commercial outcomes.

You’ll bring a consumer-first lens to healthcare, building experimental approaches that move quickly from analysis to action. This is your chance to help Resmed evolve the way we measure and grow user outcomes—by teaching us new ways to think about engagement and retention.

What you’ll do

  • Define the analytics foundation - Own and evolve the measurement framework for our user base, shaping clear KPIs for engagement, retention, and experience enhancement across connected platforms.
  • Tell the story behind the data - Build cohort and lifecycle analyses to explain user behaviors, identify growth opportunities, and clarify what drives retention or churn.
  • Translate insight into financial impact - Link user dynamics to commercial performance, connecting engagement and retention metrics directly to demand and revenue outcomes.
  • Drive cross-functional visibility, insights, and accountability – Partner across Product, Marketing, Finance and Commercial teams to analyze business performance, identify drivers of growth and retention, and align actions to improve outcomes. Elevate actionable insights to leadership to inform strategic decisions, drive cross-functional accountability, and strengthen business performance.
  • Shape scalable data products - Collaborate with Data and Technology partners to improve data quality, streamline KPI governance, and develop reliable, curated datasets and dashboards that enable self-service analytics across teams.
  • Move fast, measure impact, and evolve - Discover opportunities in the data, test hypotheses, measure results, and quickly refine strategies based on what the insights reveal.
  • Build agile forecasts and size opportunities - Develop models to measure potential impacts of strategic efforts—estimating how movement in retention, resupply, or engagement metrics could translate into revenue uplift or cost efficiency.
  • Drive accountability through always-on measurement - Create visibility with regular tracking and interpretation of performance trends. Go beyond reporting, explaining why metrics shift and what actions should follow.
  • Champion thought leadership - Represent Retain & Expand analytics in leadership forums, act as a strategic partner in business planning, and guide discussions on how to measure success across Resmed’s evolving user base.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in business intelligence, growth, or user analytics, including leadership of complex analytical programs or teams
  • Expertise with large longitudinal datasets, lifecycle and retention analysis, and driver-based forecasting
  • Advanced SQL and analytical skills, with proficiency in Power BI/Tableau, Excel, Python, or similar tools
  • Strong business and financial acumen, capable of translating behavioral data into forecast impact
  • Demonstrated ability to align cross-functional stakeholders and influence decision-making through clear, data-driven narratives
  • Comfort working in ambiguity, curious mindset, and collaborative style that turns analytics into outcomes

Nice to have

  • Experience in fast-moving consumer tech, subscription, or app-based businesses
  • Experience connecting user or customer behaviors to demand, lifetime value, or revenue drivers
  • Familiarity with enterprise data governance and regulated datasets

What sets you apart

  • Analytical Storytelling - You translate complex insights into powerful business narratives
  • Commercial Acumen - You connect user metrics to unit, revenue, and forecast outcomes
  • Scrappy Experimentation - You move quickly, test ideas, and learn from data
  • Collaborative Influence - You build trust and alignment across technical and business teams
  • Curiosity - You never stop asking what changed in the data and why it matters
  • Human-Centered Thinking - You focus on how user behaviors drive real-world impact
