Job Description 

You will report to the Uganda People Lead. You will manage the Human Resource function within the People Operations Division. You will be an important strategic partner in driving our Organizational Culture and Employee experience and support the Head of People Operations in implementing our People Strategy. You will coordinate HR programs and also implement annual HR initiatives and plans. You will model One Acre Fund values, invest in people, and engage across the team and act as a business advisor and strategic partner in matters relating to organisation culture and performance management. The job location is in Jinja, Uganda.

Key Job Responsibilities

Build an organisational culture leading to One Acre Fund being an employer of choice

  • Be a Thought-Partner to the Head of People Operations in designing and building on our Organizational People Vision
  • Oversee Payroll Administration, Staff Benefits disbursement, Corporate Operations, and Collect / Monitor regular 360 feedback around Staff Welfare
  • Collaborate with Program Teams to co-design/co-shape, Inclusive, and Equitable Field Performance Management Processes and Team Cultures

Top Skills and Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of HR Generalist experience / administration in a managerial role
  • Knowledge in using SAP systems for payroll and staff file administration
  • Experienced in project management
  • Creativity thinking to look for alternative solutions to problems.
  • English is required as well as knowledge in other Uganda languages.
