Flock Safety is hiring a
Sr. Platform & Integrations Product Manager

Who is Flock?

Flock Safety provides the first public safety operating system that empowers private communities and law enforcement to work together to eliminate crime. We are committed to protecting human privacy and mitigating bias in policing with the development of best-in-class technology rooted in ethical design, which unites civilians and public servants in pursuit of a safer, more equitable society.

Our Safety-as-a-Service approach includes affordable devices powered by LTE and solar that can be installed anywhere.  Our technology detects and captures objective details, decodes evidence in real-time and delivers investigative leads into the hands of those who matter.

While safety is a serious business, we are a supportive team that is optimizing the remote experience to create strong and fun relationships even when we are physically apart. Our flock of hard-working employees thrive in a positive and inclusive environment, where a bias towards action is rewarded. Flock Safety is headquartered in Atlanta and operates nationwide. We have raised over $380M in venture capital including a recent Series E round led by Tiger Global.  Now surpassing a 3B valuation, Flock is scaling intentionally and seeking the best and brightest to help us meet our goal of reducing crime in the United States by 25% in the next three years.

Additional Information

The Role

As Sr. Platform and Integrations Product Manager for Flock Safety, your main priority will be supporting, scaling, and monetizing our SaaS product platform. You’ll build and manage the foundation for our innovative software products and services, recognizing that success in this role can legitimately save lives. You’ll seamlessly translate technical ideas into strategy and outcomes, focused on the end-to-end customer journey across our software ecosystem. You’re a passionate advocate for better customer-facing tools and API experiences, ensuring we are meeting our customer’s needs through thoughtful strategy and core platform features. You are a true humble leader and precise communicator, here to help the platform, integrations, and pipeline teams to do their best work and collaborate closely with design and operations to balance frameworks and experiments to suit the situation. This role is highly visible in the organization and reports to the Group Product Manager.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Build a tight integration of our product, internal systems and tools, and third party applications
  • Understand Flock’s competitive landscape and deliver products that are aligned to our mission
  • Evaluate and optimize strategic partnerships that add value to the core product offering
  • Accelerate the API economy at Flock, employing monetization opportunities, monitoring and metering API and platform analytics and usage metrics, and ideate possibilities for growth
  • Advocate relentlessly for the best product user experience on our customers behalf through use case analysis, market research, experimentation, user research, and data analysis
  • Develop feature lists, user stories, roadmaps, and maintain an agile backlog and sprint process
  • Engage in conversations about technical tradeoffs and understand implications of future product choices across hardware and software product teams

We're looking for people who have:

  • 4+ years of experience in a Product Management role, ideally in platform/IAM, monetization, integrations, API, or pipeline for a growth-focused or developer-focused technology company.
  • Deep domain expertise in technical discovery and API platforms, API governance and rate limiting, OAuth, security protocols, and database-driven process optimization. You are a systems level thinker that can see and create strategy around broader platform impacts and improvements.
  • The ability to distill complex ideas into simple experiences for users and easy-to-use documentation.
  • Comfort diving into technical concepts to drive product delivery, utilizing Github, Grafana, Postman, exploring integration APIs, interpreting logs, and triaging platform support.
  • Experience driving product discovery and delivery in a fast-paced environment - working closely with designers, engineers, security, and legal to conduct ideation, user testing, with 4+ years shipping and scaling features/workflows.
  • Enthusiasm and technical curiosity, with a bias towards action and problem solving. You understand how to maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment.
  • B.Sc. in a Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred or equivalent work experience.

Feeling uneasy that you haven’t ticked every box? That’s okay, we’ve felt that way too. Studies have shown women and minorities are less likely to apply unless they meet all qualifications.
