Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Content Strategy Senior Manager to join our Communications team.

About the role

The Senior Manager of Content Strategy is responsible for setting the content strategy and leading a team that creates content and communications that engage and inspire our members and stakeholders. They will be responsible for working with functional experts to ensure the execution of earned content marketing campaigns are consistent, effective, on-brand, and compliant.

You will report to the Content Manger. This is a hybrid role. You will work part of the time in the New York City office and part of the time work-from-home/remote. #LI-Hybrid

The base pay for this role is: $132,000 - $173,250 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, company equity grants and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Work independently and as part of a cross-functional team of strategists, project managers, creatives, and technologists.
  • Responsible for developing and executing a content marketing strategy that highlights the benefits of Oscar to members, prospective members and other critical stakeholders.
  • Oversee the creation of an editorial calendar to be used across Oscar’s owned channels including the blog and social media.
  • Define goals and support professional development for the Social Media team.
  • Define and maintain standards for content governance in terms of quality, relevance, consistency, and uniqueness.
  • Manage updates to the website, inclusive of development of new landing pages and member resource hubs. 
  • Conduct and own regular website audits and documentation of processes.
  • Develop and maintain workflows for external review websites and social media inquiries. 
  • Partner with the Social Media team on developing timely and relevant content for the blog and social media channels.
  • Collaborate with the External Communications team to execute strategic initiatives and amplify with landing pages, blog content and social tactics when needed. 
  • Serve as execution lead for a range of content projects throughout the organization. 
  • Leverage SEO best practices in all content creation and editing to ensure maximum discoverability for digital content.
  • Partner with the paid marketing team to spearhead content marketing initiatives across Oscar’s various lines of business.
  • Keep pulse on the health tech landscape and important cultural events and trends to know what prospects are interested in and how Oscar can insert in relevant conversations; thinking about the key messages Oscar can deliver to elevate the visibility of its platform. 

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in content strategy or communications working for a strategic communications agency or in a similar role inside a company
  • Content strategy experience within a large marketing organization 
  • Experience managing multiple time-sensitive projects at once, including for C-suite-level executives.
  • Strong written communications and editing skills 
  • Experience using Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMRush, and other industry-leading SEO tools

  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Experience in weaving content strategy into communications, digital marketing, and social media.

Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
