System Administrator

System Administrator (Client Operations)

Fremont, CA or Montreal, CAN

THIS POSITION IS HYBRID AND MUST BE LOCATED IN FREMONT, CA OR MONTREAL, CAN

Ivalua (www.ivalua.com) is a leading enterprise software provider specialized in procurement solutions. We are expanding our IT Client Operation team and are looking to hire a System Administrator.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve servers, software, network and other potential IT build & deployment issues
  • Assist in troubleshooting issues as they arise
  • Provide technical support on-site or via phone or email
  • Analyze system, application and network logs and identifies potential issues with the Ivalua Solution
  • Communicate and interact effectively with internal stakeholders and team members about the issues being troubleshoot
  • Collaborate and contribute on technical initiatives
  • Create proper documentation, diagrams and other detailed instructions and procedures

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in a computer-related major
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience working with Windows servers in all environments (Dev, Test, Pre-Prod, Prod)

Requirements:

  • Team player attitude, able to interact with others in a professional and effective manner
  • Sense of urgency for production issues
  • Ability to prioritize, follow up, work independently and meet deadlines
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • PowerShell/CLI/scripting languages experience
  • Ability to debug scripts, analyze, create and modify scripts
  • Deep knowledge Microsoft Windows Server: IIS, web.config and ASP.Net Application hosting
  • Good knowledge of client/server and network architecture
  • SQL Server understanding
  • Ability to interact with Ivalua IT to support, troubleshoot and solve network, protocol, firewall and application software issues
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with others, orally and in writing
  • Good Computer and network security awareness
  • Able to translate technical issues to non-technical audiences for approach, outages, changes, testing
  • Detail-oriented and organized, able to pay attention to procedures and create proper documentation

 Nice to Have:

  • Professional Certifications in Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, CompTIA's A or Network a strong plus
  • Participation in SOC audit is a plus
  • Site-to-Site VPN and whitelisting knowledge
  • Good troubleshooting knowledge of x509 certificates, and asymmetric key encryption (TLS, PGP, RSA) and security certificates in general
