Help Desk Support Technician

Location: Onsite support required for Columbia Maryland and Washington DC required

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Help Desk Support Associate to join the Ad Hoc IT Department. The Help Desk Support Associate is responsible for assisting team members with information technology issues through a ticketing system, as well as software licensing and installation. This position serves as the first point of contact for team members and handles equipment set up for team members onboarding and offboarding.  This position requires strong communication and organizational skills in addition to the ability to manage assets and provide tier 1 level IT support to our internal clients.

Experience with troubleshooting both Mac and Windows Environment is required. Experience with management of SaaS applications is preferred.

The Helpdesk Support Associate is responsible for (Essential Functions):

  • Responding to all helpdesk tickets and meeting established SLAs
  • Troubleshooting windows and mac systems, performing system maintenance; application installations and assigning software licenses
  • Engage with external Vendor support for Line of Business applications to support users
  • Managing inventory assets in our Asset Management System
  • Manage all software inventory asset during the onboarding and offboarding process
  • Following standard operating procedures
  • Configuring and setting up new equipment for onboarding team members; creating accounts and tracking asset assignments
  • Managing loaner laptop fleet and hardware inventory
  • Wiping and reimaging returned laptops; SLA reporting
  • Ability to identify and escalate issues as needed and engage with other team members
  • Attention to detail and providing well documented processes and work summaries
  • Assisting staff with transfer of system settings to new equipment
  • Experience with helping troubleshoot both hardware and software for a 100% remote company
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule during time sensitive deadlines
  • Shipping and receiving of user laptop equipment and accessories
  • Management of tracking purchases in our asset management system.

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and responsibility . The range of starting pay for this role is $52,000 - $78,000 and information on benefits offered is here.
